Our final iPad project is complete! In collaboration with Ms Maggie's and Ms Emily's class, we created a book to share with others about how we can be safe in our school community. We made our book into a movie to share with others in our online community. We worked on identifying ways that we can be safe in a physically active setting as well as in our classroom and the lunchroom. We also worked on using our voice to tell the story. In addition, we learned about how to safely use technology in our classroom. Hope you enjoy and please free to give us any feedback.
Wow! Ms Emily's Kindergarten friends used our 10 iPads to take pictures of each other being safe on the playground. This is part of a bigger collaborative project of making books to share with other kindergarten students using technology. Book Creator comes next! Stay tuned... Today I went with Mr. Leal's class for a walk to the Echo Center. We studied friction and tried to build a snowboarding ramp for Barton Bear. The class also practiced the snowboarding skills of stance, jumps, and even practiced a few grabs of the nose and tail of our boards. It was all part of the Burton Riglet Snowboarding Park that will be coming to Echo this November. I am also hoping to use this equipment in all the K-2 classes this winter. Stay tuned:) Thursday, October 30th we welcomed Ms. Joni to our school. She works with Circus Smirkus and has a five day residency at IAA. We practiced the first five circus secrets: Try, Try Again, Try a new way, Watch, and Listen. We tried Feather Balancing with peacock feathers. We all were able to do it! I can't wait for our next lesson. What's next? Tight rope walking? Unicycle riding? Plate spinning? Find out this week in PE... |
